Our client purchased a lot surrounded on three sides by a country club golf course developed in the 1920s. The family wanted a house that would have an unobtrusive appearance from the golf course but also give them views from all facing rooms. Tall casement windows look out over rolling green hills on the upper floor, while paned French doors open the main level to the surrounding gardens between the house and the golf course. Black slate, in keeping with houses in the neighborhood, is the roof material.
